01What this policy covers

This policy covers the Calendar Countdown widget for CORSAIR XENEON EDGE and iCUE, and its optional Windows helper, provided by Brian Semrau. It describes the current software, rather than the separate services you use with it.

No developer account is required. The widget and helper contain no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or telemetry. Calendar data is not sent to the developer for sale, advertising, or profiling.

02What stays on your computer

Your iCUE settings contain your calendar subscription URLs, calendar names and colors, and helper connection key. The widget stores cached events and dismissed-alert state in its local browser storage. The plugin does not encrypt all of this local data.

The helper protects its locally stored connection key using Windows Data Protection (DPAPI). Its startup preference and chosen backup destination also stay in local Windows settings. The helper processes calendar responses locally in memory and does not keep request logs containing calendar links, keys, or events.

03Connections to your calendars

To sync, Calendar Countdown requests feeds from the calendar providers or endpoints you configure. Those providers receive the request, any subscription token in its URL, and ordinary network information such as your IP address. They return calendar content under their own privacy terms.

When used, the helper makes these requests from your PC. There is no developer-operated relay. Windows, iCUE, Elgato Marketplace, and your calendar providers may have separate data practices; this policy does not claim that those services collect nothing.

04Optional backups and restore

When you enable automatic backups, the helper saves your settings and subscription URLs to the JSON file you choose and retains one previous revision. These files are readable plain text. They do not include the event cache, dismissed-alert state, or helper connection key.

A widget package generated during restore contains the saved subscription URLs and the current helper connection key. Keep both backups and restored widget files private.

Choosing a shared or cloud-synced folder may share or upload these files through your storage service. Calendar Countdown does not operate a cloud backup service.

05Your choices and deletion

You can remove subscription URLs to stop requests to those feeds, disable automatic backups to stop new backup writes, or exit the helper to stop its activity. Existing backup files remain when backups are disabled.

To remove local copies, remove the widget and clear its local storage using the controls available in iCUE, then delete any chosen backup files, previous revisions, and restored widget packages. The helper also keeps local settings on your PC. Uninstalling or deleting the software may leave these files or settings behind; switch off the helper’s Windows startup option before removing it.

These actions do not delete calendar information held by your calendar provider or copies retained by a storage service.

06Support and website visits

If you choose to send a support message, Brian Semrau receives the information you provide and uses and retains it as needed to respond or troubleshoot. This is separate from automatic collection by the software. Please omit private subscription URLs, helper keys, calendar content, and screenshots that expose them.

Visiting a website or downloading a file can involve separate server logs and privacy practices. This policy covers the widget and helper; it does not promise that website hosting, download servers, or Elgato Marketplace keep no logs.

07Policy updates

Changes to this policy will be identified by a new “Last updated” date. If optional data collection is introduced in the future, permission will be requested where required by applicable law.
