01Free use

You may install and use Calendar Countdown for lawful personal or business purposes, subject to these terms and applicable third-party license notices. Brian Semrau charges no license or subscription fee for the current widget or helper. Hardware, internet access, iCUE, and third-party services are separate.

Using the software does not transfer ownership to you. Bundled open-source components remain governed by their own licenses, including the Mozilla Public License 2.0 for ICAL.js. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses.

02No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

There is no promise that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or compatible with every calendar provider or iCUE version. Calendar synchronization and alerts may be delayed or unavailable.

03Limited support

Support is optional and offered on a best-effort basis as time permits. There is no guaranteed response time, fix, feature, update, continued compatibility, or service level. Free use does not include an entitlement to paid-level support.

The developer may change or discontinue the software’s availability or support, subject to applicable law.

04Using the software responsibly

Use only calendar links you are authorized to access. Protect your subscription URLs, helper connection key, backup files, and restored widget packages, and maintain any backups you need.

Verify appointments in your original calendar. Calendar Countdown is a convenience tool; it should not be your sole reminder for critical commitments or a safety-critical system. Calendar-provider delays, network restrictions, browser access rules, and iCUE updates can affect its behavior.

05Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Brian Semrau is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, or missed appointments arising from use of, or inability to use, the software.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Warranty and liability limitations apply only to the extent the law permits.

06Third parties and privacy

Calendar Countdown is an independent third-party plugin. CORSAIR, Elgato, iCUE, calendar providers, and other services have their own terms and policies. Their trademarks belong to their respective owners, and third-party license notices remain applicable.

07Changes and ending use

Revised terms will be posted with an updated date and apply to future use, subject to applicable law. You may stop using and uninstall the software at any time.

Removing the software may leave local settings, backup files, previous backup revisions, and restored widget packages behind. Delete those separately if desired, and disable the helper’s Windows startup option before removing it.
